Victor Quijada named fellow of the Guggenheim Foundation!

On April 11, 2024, Victor Quijada (RUBBERBAND) was named a Fellow of the prestigious John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in New-York, USA. This exciting news highlights the professional achievements and exceptional potential of this choreographer with a rich and inspiring career!

Celebrating its 99th year in 2024, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has nominated 188 artists, scholars, photographers, novelists, essayists, poets, historians, choreographers, ecologists and information scientists in 52 fields to join the ranks of the 19,000 Fellows honored since 1925. The Class of 2024 Guggenheim Fellows have been chosen from nearly 3,000 applicants following a rigorous application and peer review process.

Congratulations to Dominique Fils-Aimé for 2024 JUNO Win

Congratulations to Dominique Fils Aimé for her win at this year’s JUNO Awards. Dominique won her second JUNO award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year for her album Our Roots Run Deep, released via Ensoul Records.

Dominique is also a previous winner, having been awarded the 2020 JUNO Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year for her second album, Stay Tuned!. That album would also go on to be shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize as well as win the Félix prize for Best Jazz Album at the 2019 ADISQ Gala.

Teaming up for the second time on a recording, pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin and Les Violons du Roy conducted by Jonathan Cohen, are proud to present their new album Mozart: Concertos nos. 20 and 23, marking a seal in their remarkable artistic collaboration. For Charles Richard-Hamelin, this is also his 11th album on the Analekta label (Outhere Music), a great achievement!

Available in stores and on all digital platforms from October 20, 2023, a date that coincides numerologically with Concertos Nos, 20 and 23.
