A first album for our soprano coloratura Marianne Lambert !

“ Since everything passes, let us forge a passing melody ” — Rainer Maria Rilke

Soprano coloratura Marianne Lambert is launching her debut album Evanescent Melodies today, on Fidélio label. Accompanied on piano by Julien Leblanc, Marianne Lambert interprets melodies by Barber, Bizet, Delage, Delibes, Granados, Lavallée and Paladilhe, evoking escape, journey, dream and sensuality. The pieces chosen are inspired by the exotic, and summon up memories that are often sweet, sometimes bitter, along with the twists and turns that life imposes on us and the contemplation of nature… both enchanting and imaginative. Here‘s an excerpt, just for you !

“ A fine, delicate infusion of bittersweetness and enchantment flavours this new compilation… ” — Ian Ritchie, Opera Going Toronto

Congratulations to Charles Richard-Hamelin !

The renowned British publication, BBC Music Magazine, gave pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin the top 5-star rating for his rendition of Chopin’s Ballads and Impromptus, recorded on his recent album and released by Analekta. Watch here.

“ Richard-Hamelin makes [Chopin’s Impromptu No 3] spellbinding, and to round off the disc he captures the pianistic glitter of the Fantaisie-Impromptu […]. An exemplary Chopin recital. ”
