Amazing Grace (Noël)

For her Christmas concert Amazing Grace, Marie-Josée Lord was inspired by her love for spirituals and traditional carols. She embarked on a mystical journey surrounded by a choir.



For her brand new recital simply titled Femmes, soprano Marie-Josée Lord proposes a very colorful and intimate evening, where she presents the women who inhabit her, who drive and inspire her. These women, whom she met either at the opera or in her everyday life, Marie-Josée will introduce and talk of how they have inspired her throughout her career. She will do so with the help of some vibrant interpretations. Surrounded by her musicians, she will be telling us a few stories, anecdotes and secrets with her ​​warm and always enrobing voice.


Yo Soy Maria

The effervescent soprano Marie-Josée Lord invites you to embark with her and her eight musicians on a musical voyage tinged with sensuality and passion. From Granada to Besame Mucho, they will perform some of the most beautiful songs in Spanish, Portuguese, and other Latin languages. Let yourself be carried away to lands of sun and sea and the scent of cinnamon in the company of an artist who will charm, delight, and move you! All aboard…



Jambalaya — A surprising title indeed but to surprise the audience is what this concert is all about. With her own personal style, her voice, her presence and her choice of repertoire, soprano Marie-Josée Lord delivers a gourmet recital where classical and popular music are gently entwined. Gershwin, Verdi, Bernstein, Lama, Bizet, and many other composers make up this special program that flows ever so naturally. The occasional comments will spice things up. The result is so flavourful that you will be asking for seconds!


Marie-Josée Lord with Symphony Orchestra

A winner of many renowned scholarships and competitions, Marie-Josée Lord impresses critics and audiences alike by the depth of her talent and her charming and charismatic personality. She made her professional debut in the Fall of 2003, singing Liù in Puccini’s Turandot at Opéra de Québec. In February 2004, Montreal music lovers too were enraptured by her rendition of Mimi in Puccini’s La Bohème at Opéra de Montréal, where she then sang the title role of Puccini’s Suor Angelica in September 2006, confirming her formidable acting talent and deep musical sensitivity. More recently, Marie-Josée Lord has been heard as Marie-Jeanne in the world premiere of the operatic version of the celebrated musical Starmania (Plamondon/Berger) at Opéra de Québec in May 2008 and Opéra de Montréal in March 2009.
