Frédéric Alarie
Frédéric Alarie amazes by the colour, depth and audacity he puts forward in his work: as a musician, composer or soloist, he constantly pushes the limits of both his own expression and of jazz itself. He has recorded on 34 albums as an accompanist-soloist, and has played on about sixty other albums as a guest; several of these albums have received awards, including the FELIX and JUNO AWARD. Invited to play from Canada to China, by way of France, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Poland and the United States, he has left his indelible mark as a top-notch bassist. He has played alongside notable artists such as Oliver Jones, Ranee Lee, Nathalie Dessay, Charles Aznavour and Michel Legrand. As a composer, Frédéric Alarie has nine albums under his belt, all of which have been greatly praised by critics. 1997’s Vision album, was nominated for best jazz album of the year at the ADISQ.

Ron Di Lauro

John Roney
John Roney divides his time between composing, teaching and performing on the international jazz scene. As a composer and pianist equally adept in both the jazz and classical styles, his versatility attests to an astonishing range of artistic skills and sensibilities. Working with artists like Chet Doxas, Remi Bolduc, Effendi Jazzlab, Bernard Primeau and Jean-Christophe Béney, he has performed across Canada, Europe and the Middle East, as well as participating on a number of recordings for CBC/Radio-Canada, Global Television, JustinTime Records To date, Roney has released three albums, Rate of Change (2006), Silverbirch (2010) and Saint-Henri (2012), a tribute to Oscar Peterson.
