Rémi Bolduc is a highly accomplished and respected jazz saxophonist and educator, boasting over 40 years of experience in the music industry. He serves as an associate professor in the jazz department at McGill University in Montreal, where he has remained a highly active figure on the music scene since his arrival in 1982. Bolduc has produced 11 jazz albums, featuring collaborations with esteemed musicians such as Kenny Werner, Marc Johnson, Ben Monder, and Jerry Bergonzi. He has also designed three saxophone models for the Expression company, each of which bears his name.

Bolduc is lauded for his impressive virtuosity and mature musical style, attributes that have earned him a devoted following among jazz enthusiasts. Some of his most notable works include the cd “Tribute to Charlie Parker,” which garnered the FÉLIX award for Best Jazz Album at the 2011 ADISQ, as well as “The Random Masters,” a tribute to Dave Brubeck, and “Sax Zenith” in collaboration with PJ Perry, Phil Dwyer, Kirk MacDonald, and Kelly Jefferson.

Apart from his extensive portfolio as a musician, Bolduc has received a plethora of awards and nominations for his contributions to jazz. These accolades include the Opus Prize for Jazz Concert of the Year in 2021 and 2016, and the Felix Award for Jazz Album of the Year in 2011. His discography features albums such as “Les Esprits Oubliés” with Jerry Bergonzi, “Sax Zenith: Art and Soul Productions,” and “Tribute to Dave Brubeck.”
